VC Question

Recommended Posts

When in VC mode, during the day, the VC panel (all aircraft) will change brightness in relation to the position of the sun. Is there any way to turn off this effect? A visually impaired friend noticed this and asked for assistance.Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. To duplicat ewhat he and I see, just load any aircraft hat has a VC. go to it and rotate the aircraft using the slew commands. You can't miss it - no matter the time or season. Thanks in advance.

I think this is the way FS works, the "sun" sees through the actuall plane and shines on any surface....

Use the L key, to at least make the panel instruents always visable. Some models use lighting by default.

I believe it's shift+L for the instrument lights. I almost always use it because the VC looks like the inside of a cave without them. Many addons also come with the recommendation to turn intrument lights on and the RealAir planes even have the panel lights switch linked to the Master switch. For a visually impaired person I think the 2D panel is a far better option. The gauges are definitely much bigger and easier to read in most cases and you don't need to pan accurately to get overhead panels and such into view, as you can use popup windows.
