looking for airport directory or list

Featured Replies

Hi everyone I am looking for a downloadable searchable airport list with the airports name and icao like halifax - cyhzfor some flightplans i am converting not sure if one is out there any help would be greatthanksShane

This is an excellent site for your needs. You can examine flight-paths and lookup IATA, FAA, & ICAO codes. You can also look for airports by city-name etc. I use this site to get an idea of how long a flight is going to be in FS9! Real handy. Shows you a map with your flight path displayed and all other relevant details. This is the main page:http://gc.kls2.com/And here is the code-search page (which is also present on the main page)http://gc.kls2.com/cgi-bin/gclookupHope that helps!:)

Shane, just go here:http://www.navdata.at/php/airac/airac.phpand download the latest AIRAC Cycle for say the 767PIC (PIC-PMDG_0505.zip). After you unzip the file, you'll be left with an exe file "PIC-PMDG_0505.exe". Just execute it, and extract the files to another folder of you choice. Then open the "wpNavAPT.txt" and search away. It's a crude method, but it might be all you need. I'm sure their are many other lists out there, but it works for me... ;-)

thanks guys :)shane
