C130 in P3D

Featured Replies

I've CaptainSim C130 for FSX. I installed it in P3D that way: copied C130 files from FSX>SimObjects>Airplanes. The plane is there, it flies, but panel is completely dead. Nothing works.

Besides that copy, I also put C130 gauges from FSX into P3D gauges.

Suggestions?

You might be running into a copy protection situation. I'm not sure if the CS C130 can be moved in that fashion. It might also be SimConnect related (*where you may need to install all three of the earlier versions of SimConnect), but I don't have a dual-install to test with.

From a fresh install perspective, I've had modest luck with the C-130 in P3Dv2. I installed it using the Estonia Migration Tool, but never could get the "digital" panel to work properly. Versions of the plane using the analog panel seemed to work just fine however.  Again, that could be a Simconnect related issue, but never really researched it too far.

Note that there are the SimObject files and gauge files, but also effect files, sound files, and I believe a Captainsim folder itself which may need to all be copied over to the P3D installation location.
