May 21, 200521 yr I have the new P-3 installed and try to feather Engine 1 and I can turn it off but I cannot get it to stop windmilling. Can anyone help?
May 21, 200521 yr CTRL+F1. Feathers the props. If you only want to feather one engine, you must select engine first by pressing say E+1 for Number 1.:-outtahttp://publish.hometown.aol.com/p3superb/i...s/sign_name.jpgThere is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".- unknown"My daddy gives me up, to fight for you"- a US Military Members Child
May 21, 200521 yr First I have to thank you... I reinstalled FS and could not figure out why I could not cut off fuel with Throttle Quad (or any joystick) until I saw this post and it hit me you forgot about the sensitivities in the Controls menu You may need to adjust your mixture axis or in your case Prop axis sensitivity up null zone down. Your mileage may vary Steve
May 23, 200521 yr Author Hi,Hmm, Ctrl-F1 only brings the props to full coarse on most planes. You have to hold down Ctrl-F2 until the blades stop rotating to get them into feathered position. Is this plane different?Thanks,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
May 23, 200521 yr CTRL+F1 is the same as CRTL=F2, CRTL+F2 just gets you there incrementally. CTRL+F1 takes you there instantly... http://publish.hometown.aol.com/p3superb/i...s/sign_name.jpgThere is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".- unknown"My daddy gives me up, to fight for you"- a US Military Members Child
May 24, 200521 yr Author Hi,This is definitely not true on most planes. Download a plane with visually rotating props, like the Greg Pepper planes on my pages (like the CV-580, Convair-Liners, or DC-6/7) and press Ctrl-F1. The props will move to full coarse, but not feather. Then press and hold down Ctrl-F2, and you will see them move from full coarse to feather.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
