GTX 970 and 4 monitors in FSX?

I have a new GTX 970 and have it connected to 3 monitors via the 2 DVI and HDMI outputs.  All works well in FSX.  I have a new Desktop Aviator GPS that uses a VGA input.  I tried connecting the DisplayPort output on the GTX970 to the VGA input (via adapter) but my system does not recognize the GPS monitor.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.
