Have a VERY interesting problem.

Had FSX Steam installed last night. Removed it placed Normal FSX removed that and reinstalled FSX Steam. I know sounds batty! But i wanted to test some items with the non steam version etc.

Anyways Just finished installing FSX Steam and now i cannot install PrecipitFX.

Prior to me going on a tangent unstalling and reinstalling stuff PrecipitFX was installed and working fine. Now it says i don't have FSX installed.. Weird.. Advice please./

 

Ok update. Soughted it by downloading and running the Flight1 Registry fix tool.
