Reality XP Weather problem

Featured Replies

I recently bought a new computer, and reinstalled Flight Sim and my add ons.I own the Weather Radar from Reality XP. I used the configurator to place it in the default 172.It shows up, but I am unable to turn it on or do anything else with it.Anyone have any advice to offer? I haven't checked at the Reality XP forums yet. I thought I would give my fellow AVSimmers a crack at it first! :-lolThanks,

Howdy fellow AVsimmer! :-)Most likely you have installed with an already extracted installer and not with the Flight1 wrapper file (red aircraft icon) installer - thus you miss the hardware license file for your new machine. Install with the Flight1 wrapper file using the reinstall option in the lower left and your *.key file and you

Ah ha! I think you might be right! Thanks, I'll post if I have more problems.

In a couple of pinned threads on the forum there are links to restoring keys and retrieving info from Flight1 on-line customer service "automation" to retrieve the necessary info for key regeneration. Keys if lost can be regenerated by Flight1 and e-mailed to you, necessary anyway if you upgrade to the free version product upgrades. It will be a new version of the install folder. Info will be tagged to your e-mail address at the time of your order, but there is a utility on Flight1 to change that before they generate your new key.
