Just Flight Seneca II mini review.

Just Flight Seneca II First off, note that I an not a proffesional reviewer. This is my first payware aircraft and I was so impressed that I felt compelled to do a short review as I feel that some folks might miss a good plane if they do not hear about it. When you approach the plane from the FBO you will notice the attention to details. There are the brake calipers, lines, antenna, lug nuts, rivets, handles, tinted windscreen, clear windows, slightly dirty paint, etc. All done very well and lifelike. If you open the access doors and cargo doors, you will be able to see everything that you would in the real thing. It is there and well done. Nuff said. Behind the 2d panel you will see a good view over the top. Visibility is good all around. The pilot is sitting just to the right of center. While not realistic, it affords the ability to see all functioning portions of the panel. There is a pop-up airspeed indicator for precise settings. A pop-up flaps panel has the flaps control, parking brake control, trim control and indicators, and the fuel levers. The pop-up ignition panel has the controls for starting the engines and various light and electronics switches. The yokes are pop-up also allowing you to remove them if needed. The pop-up throttle panel has the cowl flaps and alt. air controls. You can feather the props as needed and it works well in the flight model. However, I could not see the prop pitch change. Most gages have the mouseover feature which allows a tab showing the gage name and the precise reading. Very handy. All who fly from the 2d panel should be impressed. Now, for the 3d panel and interior. Wow! Very clear gages. Readable daytime or night. The pop-ups in the 2d panel all work here also. Good pilot positioning too. Visibility is better than in 2d. Small touches like shadows on the panels are welcome. The sunvisors can even be lowered to keep the sun glare down some. The pilots window opens. You can use the load manager and set the number of passengers, and the cargo. The passengers will show up in the views inside and out. You can even put your own mug on the pilot. Works very simple. There is a paint program where you can repaint it. I find it difficult for me to repaint though on any program. Follow the supplied checklist and start the engines. Or use the control-e method. Either way you are treated to the actual sounds of a Seneca II. I have always thought the real engines to sound buisy and not relaxed and muscular. This plane sounds spot on. Buisy. Flying the Seneca gives you that heavy feel. From what I

Thanks for the review Vernon, very informative! Knowing Rob did the FD is must be nice to fly! Glad to see someone with a lower end rig enjoying a payware aircraft! If this is your first payware aircraft, man are you ever in for a surprise if you ever upgrade to WinXP (a faster rig) and get a Dreamfleet or FSD aircraft! LOL BTW FSD has a Seneca V and it is awesome, one of my fav VCs!Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International
