Question Re Tubliners (RW)

I know, i know.... i should really know better after all these years, but alas, my memory ain't what it once woz;-)


Sort of two questions in one really.  A what and why?


So... The logic behiond why most SPs are NEVER to use speed brakes AND flap simultaneously....?  Is it primarily because the disruption of airflow and lift is too severe under such conditions?  If so, then why does the aircraft logic circuit allow it happen?
