FSD T38

Featured Replies

Hi,Anyone else think the T38 is real twitchy? The slightest move left or right of my joystick can result in a 30 -40 deg roll. My stick is a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Sorry if this looks like a hardware forum question but the real question is whether the T38 is too twitchy or not or whether someone has done a modified air file if it is?Kev

Hi Kev, If you want a realistic behaviour from your T-38, leave it as it is. :-) On the other hand, I don't know your hardware/settings set up, but the real T-38 is twitchy...Andysignature.jpg

I use a CH Combatstick USB and I find the T-38 to be just about as I remember the real one from my flying days back in the early 70's. The real T-38 was extremely sensitive, especially at speeds above 270 KIAS. I remember my flight instructor, during formation flying, telling me "don't purposely move the stick, just think where you want to go and apply a small bit of pressure" In the real aircraft, a very slight control input gave you a very definite "seat of the pants" response - of course, you don't get this in the simulator, so it makes it seem even more sensitive than it really is.Dale

Dale and Andy,Thanks for the info - I guess I'll leave it where it is - it's a lot more sensitive than my C152!!Kev
