June 7, 200520 yr Hi,I don't want to see any post anymore about low framerates on this forum!If they could do it with a staggering 3 fps why shouldn't we?And as a bonus it's flicker free :-lolhttp://www.scandinavian-va.net/upload/FS1.gif Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
June 7, 200520 yr OMG that goes waaaay back, ahh the memories! Those were staggering frames back then and the huge 16K of memory! Thanks for that post, great find!
June 7, 200520 yr wow, my dad had a Trash80, I was but a teenager then.....neat, cassett recorder, the old "hard disk"
June 7, 200520 yr I flew one of these, but after frequent complaints vs. texture blurring at high speeds, I gave up on hopes of there being a patch. Everyone knows that FS2 was a patch for FS1, right? (Dry humor alert, in case someone thinks I am really complaining)...-John
June 7, 200520 yr The worst thing about that was that the gauges in the VC only updated at .5 fps! ;)

June 8, 200520 yr Author "What's a cassette?":D Thank the good Lord that you're too young to know!Really, this is a great thread. I never had a Trash 80 but my folks did buy me one of those $3000 Tandy 1200's. It was that bucket with the original RGB monitor and killer 640K hardrive that introduced me to Flight Simulator and made my geek friends jealous. Ahh memories. I saw it in the attic the other day and it took me back to those days when you could play WW1 Ace when you got tired of flying around Chicago with its one building and four colors. It's amazing to see how far we've come. Keep em' coming.
