June 9, 200520 yr Just a simple question; does anyone know if Level-D 767-300ER works in Win2000? It says on their site it wont work in 98/ME, but nothing about 2000.(And, please, I don't want an OS-discussion.... just a simple yes or no. I will buy a new PC soon with WinXP, but I want to fly this plane now. :))Cheers.
June 9, 200520 yr Hi,I running XP, but I did find 2 threads at the LevelD forums indicating the 767 works fine with Win2000.http://www.leveldsim.com/forums/forum_post...4651&KW=win2000http://www.leveldsim.com/forums/forum_post...=333&KW=win2000Hope this helps.
June 9, 200520 yr Thanks. Can't read the first thread. Access denied (not registered).I also found another thread in there about problems installing repaints in Win2000. Is that a common problem for Win2000-users?If somebody here is using Win2000 with no problems at all, I'd be very happy to hear about it. Which means I can run out and get it today. :)
June 9, 200520 yr I run it on 2000 with no problems at all. Most stuff that will works with XP works with 2000, since XP was built off the 2000 NT platform. Enjoy the LDS 767, it's a great add on. :)
June 9, 200520 yr Wow, finally I got it confirmed after asking "everywhere" with no result. Cheers! :)(And you can install paints and all as well then I suppose?)
June 9, 200520 yr Yep, repaints are no problem. Everything works great, I got about 200hrs. on mine since I bought it, the day it came out.
June 9, 200520 yr Yeah, PMDG 737's and the 1900's work just fine also. Like I said, 99% of the time stuff that works in XP works in 2000, same platform. Now those vendors might not give you any support, but they should not need too.Enjoy. :)
June 12, 200520 yr Cheers. Bought PMDG today, and it works perfectly fine - just had to download a dll, that was it (with LDS I have some download problems though, but I'll sort it out I hope). Thanks a lot!
