June 1, 200422 yr HiI use WinME and when I turned on my computer today I got a pop-up message from the tool bar telling me I had a 'residential gateway device' installed in 'my networks'.What's this? June 1, 200422 yr It means it found a router or a cable or dsl modem with a built in gateway. It's not nasty, but unless you just added it it shouldn;t have jusr popped up - suggests something changed in the configuration.Since you're online and posting though, it seems to still be working fine.Richard
