I am thinking of getting Prepar3d. My card now is a GTX 670 2gb. Thinking of getting a GTX 970 4gb. Would the 670 work ok for now?

I have an  EVGA Geforce Gtx670 2gb since almost 3 years, and have been running running Prepar3D v2 since 1,5 year.

 

This card is fine and will give very good fps with an out of the box P3Dv2, with all sliders set to dense or very dense.

BUT... I occasionally see some pikes in the sim once FTX Global, Vector and Landclass EU are installed. These same slider settings will show/generated much more then default P3D.

 

So be aware, on heavy load you might experience some pikes, when GPU usage gets saturated.
