My current system is an i5 4690 @3.5 stock, 8GB of RAM and an old GTX 550ti, FS9.1 and windows 7x64.

I would like to upgrade the card to a GTX 970.

At the moment I am getting very high FPS until I hit heavy cloud and then they drop to between 19 and 24fps.

Will the GTX970 be worth it ?

Will anything be bottlenekking my system ?

Please don't recommend the 980 as that is out of my budget!!!!

Thanks

Trevor

I purchased and installed the GTX970 last weekend and I am very happy so far.  I had a GTX670 before and I have increased my framerates about 15-20%.  It also seems much smoother.  I bought the GEFORCEGTX970 by EVGA with the overclock and extreme cooling 2.0.  Hope this helps.
