March 16, 201511 yr (Also applicable to FSX/FSX:SE) I'm not sure if this tweak has been given previously on these forums so apologies if that's the case. If you are trying to compare weather add-ons or even just the results of moving the weather setting sliders then by changing a line in the cameras config file (cameras.cfg) located in the settings folder (same location as prepar3d.cfg) you can make the comparison easier. If you change the line from ShowWeather=no to ShowWeather=yes in the definition for the 'Top-Down' view you can go to that view (F12) and after zooming out a few times the current weather pattern is revealed in all its glory by showing the actual location of the cloud sprites. Here are a couple of v-key examples of the built-in theme 'cold fronts' and changing between Low and High cloud coverage density in the settings dialog with radius set at 90 miles.
