X-55 stops working mid-session

I was wondering if anyone ever experienced this and / or has a fix suggestion? 

 

After about 45 minutes / an hour, (or an amount of time in which the throttle and stick have been idle), the X55 stick and throttle fail to work completey in FSX. I have to save flight, close FSX, and restart and then load from where I was. 

 

I have not programmed them using FSUIPC. 

 

Update: I have just experienced within minutes of start, and it happened after I paused and then unpaused, the sim.
