vPilot voice ports.

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am having problems receiving and transmitting voice over vatsim with any client.

I found a port that I needed to open through my router which I did and now I can connect to the network and fly without any problems.

But the voice is a big issue.

Is there a specific port that I need to forward to get the voice transmitting working again?

Thank you.

P.S: I am at boarding school. The network is really complicated and I have to right a letter to forward any port.

There are official vPilot forums and FAQ's that would be better than here. The creaotr of the program frequents them (on the VATSIM forums)

Anyway, from the FAQ Q: I can't hear others, and I am using a router.

A: Ensure you've forwarded UDP port 3290 in your router, for routers that close the port after a timeout. (It doesn't hurt to set up the forwarding for routers that don't have an inactivity timeout.)
