Flight startup time

Featured Replies

Is there a way to set a default time/season to start a flight ? I often forget to select these parameters when starting a flight and find myself in darkness when I wanted to check out some new scenery I installed.

Set the FS parameters you want, click in Flights and Save flight (or simply press ; (semi-colon)), enter a save name and check the default box. That does itAndy b

Yes, that works, as long as you stay in the same place... But if you install new scenery that's located on the other side of the world and you go there without changing the time before actually going there, you will be in the pitch dark again... I think the topicstarter is looking for a way to lock the time to a specific time, no matter where you go. So when you are in America and it's 16 o'clock and you want to go to Poland (or whatever), it's also 16 o'clock there and not 23 (or whatever), due to the time-difference. If you know what I mean...I doubt if that's possible... There is an option to choose between actual time or simulator time on the optionscreen (I'm not behind my FS-computer now, so I can't check how these options are named exactly). Maybe that makes a difference...?

Yeah, I noticed that after an FS9.cfg rebuild, the sim's default start date is 1/1/2005 at 11.18 local! It always used to be the date and time as dictated by the PC - do I need to save a new flight to get back to that situation as default?
