It's a requirement here to use your full name in the forum - just for future reference. As far as your issue, I'm betting you're just not following proper procedure. The default engines running state does not have the APU running. That means you must start it and wait for it to come online. After this, in order to select the APU as the power source, you need to press the switches and hold them long enough to ensure the system reconfigures. If you only press it momentarily, the system might not pull it off the engine GEN and put it on the APU GEN. When you're doing this, press and hold that switch until you see the ENG GEN light come on; repeat for the other side. After this, you may shut down the engines. You cannot set external power until the chocks are inserted. CDU MENU key > FS ACTIONS > Chocks, and then ground power. I'm guessing that flying the tutorial would probably help you quite a bit. April 6, 201511 yr Author Hi Scandanavian13. Thanks for the reply. Let me give you more information I'm a licensed B1/B2 aircraft engineer and work on real aeroplanes I know how the electric system works on the aircraft as I do it for real . Please read what i said in the first post properly. If this was the problem on a real aircraft Id be trawling through the schematic and wiring diagrams in ata chapter 24 and diagnosing which bus tie contactor to change. Now getting back to this simulator problem is it down to the fact that I have the disc version of the PMDG 737 and i need to download some updates ? Also Why do i always have to put in my activation code of my pc version before it will load Please copy and paste this:- " PMDG 737-600. APU geny's fail to switch on line " for the video of my screen during operation. on youtube Thanks Ken walker
April 6, 201511 yr Commercial Member Now getting back to this simulator problem is it down to the fact that I have the disc version of the PMDG 737 and i need to download some updates ? Most likely. It's probably being caused by operating an old version of the 800/900 (DVD copy) with the new version of the 600/700 (download), particularly if the DVD version is working properly. All DVD copies originate with Aerosoft, and they just released a new update. All you need to do is head over to their support site, select the NGX in the drop down box, provide your CD key, and they'll provide you with a new installer. Uninstall what you have currently installed, and reinstall using the new Aerosoft installer, and the downloaded expansion (do not install off the disc at all). As far as it prompting you for your license each time, this could be related to a firewall issue (our products activate through port 8888), or the FlexNET service being disabled. Get the download and try the uninstall/reinstall. If that doesn't work, submit a ticket at support.precisionmanuals.com - that's our official avenue for support. Kyle Rodgers
