Lost Building and Hangers, OH MY! Help Please!

Featured Replies

I have just realized that I have lost all of my default hangers and buildings at all of my airports. Does anyone know what causes this? I have installed only a couple scenery add ons this week, Florida FreeFlow and Rhode Island by FlightZOne and everything was fine until tonight... WHat file do I need to restore to get all of these back?

Go to Options > Settings > Display and select the Hardware tab. It sounds as if the Scenery Density slider is set too low. Try moving it all the way to the right. R-

Nope, its turned all the way up.. I tried renaming my FS9.CFG to see if that would bring them back, but they are just gone.

Sorry i cant really help you, except to say i had exactly the same thing happen. I first noticed the buildings gone at EGLL (Heathrow) and then elsewhere. I also have FFF and RI but am sure its not related to those two. I did install some freeware autogen about the same time it happened, but i only slowly noticed the missing buildings and autogen later so i could not really identify the cause of the problem. In the end i rolled back my system a couple of months and all was fine. Not much use i guess but thought i would mention it all the sameDan

Thanks, I am figuring on doing a complete reinstall... I just didn't need this right now... What a pain!

Same thing happened to me. Just tracked down the problem, it was caused by renaming two files during the London autogen install. Here's the relevant section of the install instructions. Just change the names back and the buildings will return. At least that's what solved my problem, it was probably the same for dsflyer too. Not sure about you, but it may be a similar thing.Paul*************************************************************For all the autogen scenery in the Heathrow area to be visible-DISABLE the OB9EURW0.BGL file by renaming it to OB9EURW0.BGDDISABLE the OB9EURW1.BGL file by renaming it to OB9EURW1.BGD(these two BGL file are found in-x:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9SceneryEurwScenery)The downside of renaming the above 2 files - some airports outside the UK will lose the buildings. This information was kindly provided by DRAKY - my thanks for pointing this out and apologies Dave for giving you the job of finding it out in the first place. Check out your scenery.cfg and make sure it is not corrupted (Areas/Layers out of sequence). Check Scenery Library and make sure the objects are active.Jim
