Sound suddenly stops!

Featured Replies

Hi guys, sometimes when I flying and add-on and maybe switch to a view or turn on a switch or landin.. suddenly the sounds goes off.To fix this I have to load another plane and then go back to the plane that I was using.Do you know why this happens? Thanks in advance for your help and enjoy this weekend!

You're lucky you can load another aircraft and continue your flight session. I have had several "memory burps" where the sound will freeze as well as the sim. I have to turn off my system to get out of FS9. I'm pretty sure it's my ATI video card driver installation but it happens so rarely I'm not going to get too concerned. I have a very fast system with one gig of memory too but most sliders are turned down so I can fly to my MegaSceneries, SimFlyer, FlyTampa, Cloud9, Lago, and Imagine airports and fly my payware aircraft with complex panels. Sorry I don't have a positive solution.Jim

Another thing you might look at is where you are starting your flights from. I have trouble when I start from an Add-On airport at Misty Fjords. When I start at a default FS9 airport, no problem. Some people say that starting the flight with a default aircraft and then switching to an add on will also keep it from happening.

Yep... I've had that too.....What "cured" it for me was to move the sound card to the last PCI slot..Something about the AGP and the #1 and #2 slotJoe W.
