Fly With Me - 'Podcast'

Recommended Posts

I followed the following link from VATSIM's fron page yesterday and I love what I found:http://joepodcaster.libsyn.com/I never heard of a 'podcast' before, so I downloaded the first program, burned it to a CD and listened to the 20 minute nostalgia trip back in time while driving to work this morning.I felt like I was actually back to the wonderful days of flying. I really miss the glamour and adventure of flying in the 60's and 70's. That is what brought me to my hobby of 'Flightsimming', which I have been addicted to since 1984. 'Podcasting' is really another great medium, which I just now discovered. I just downloaded the next four podcasts and am really looking forward to listening to them. I sincerely thank Joe Dion for his very entertaining and enligtening experience behind the scenes of the airline industry.Howard Bloom

and if you don't believe Howard is a flight sim old timer, I remember a photo of him in what I recall was Full Throttle Magazine. he was sitting on the hood of his car, looking very cool for the time...btw, Howard...refresh my memory: did that car start with a hand crank?...:-)Sherm

Hi Sherm-That picture was even before Full Throttle, it was in the MicroWings magazine. Remember that one? ;-)It's been a while and we have to resume our Saturday Chicago Flight Simmers meetings. I know that Doug Horton has tried but our schedules seemed to be clashing.Hope all is well.Howard

right you are Howard...Microwings, which I still have on the shelf in my "collect all and never throw away anything that has to do with flightsimming" closet. How about if I scan the pic and post it here....anyone want to see the real Howard?..:-)Sherm

>Finally, a podcast worth listening to.>You are so right. This is a perfect example of how a high quality podcast should be.I merged all files into one large audiobook soundfile, and loaded it into my iPod. Great work! Very enjoyable to listen to. ;-)http://www.scandicair.com/images/Banner_ariane_4.jpg

This isn't really the place for it but my view of the "Podcast Revolution" is 1,000,000 channels and nothing to listen to. With one exception.
