Textures gone bananas

Featured Replies

I'm discovering that my textures have gone doolally in certain areas. So far I've experienced the problem below in Finland (shown) and Switzerland. Seems to be isolated to western Europe so far, but it's a mess.Looks like I might have lost, or incorrectly overwritten, some default stuff, despite being a careful sort of chap. Something's up, for sure. Would any experts know whether such texture files are to be found in SCENERY/EURW, SCENERY/WORLD or the main TEXTURE folder? Or are specific bgls up the creek, do you think?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/121980.jpgMark "Dark Moment" Beaumont[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]

Mark, textures are in x:SceneryWorldtexture folder. I managed to delete a few textures at one time and that resulted in CTD's. You probably have a few corrupt textures. If you use default textures then you could overwrite the stuff in the said folder from the original CD... or, if you feel like going through the whole bunch, drag and drop them into Imagetool, a bunch at a time. Any corrupt texture will hopefully refuse to load or display garbled. But that will take some time methinks. :)Regards,Jure

JureYou da man. I reinstalled my SCENERY/WORLD/TEXTURE files - actually, I reinstalled Gerrit's 'Blue Sphere' version, which is what I use - and the problem went away. I've no idea how files had gone missing or were corrupted, earlier; I've done nothing I can think of to that folder, but I must have got caught out somewhere, obviously. A rogue install, perhaps. Thanks!Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]
