E-175, Can't initialize FMS

I just bought the E-Jet & all seems to have installed well. After the IRS are aligned I try programing the flight plan in the FMS and this is where I run into problems. I push NAV > Next > > 1L then I see three lines, last position, REF WPT & GPS 1 position. The REF WPT position shows only dashes (no LAT LONGs) and I'm unable to enter a departure airport on this or any other page. I've read the manual, looked on YouTube as well as other forums and can't seem to find an answer to what's wrong.

 

If it helps, I'm running windows8 & FS2004
