Thanks for the post guys, I use windows 7x64. I know little about panels and gauges but feel pretty strongly this is a cfg. file problem.

After installing the Ernie Alston ISG GNS-XLS FMS, there been a problem with the IVSI. When opening Dreamfleet 727, FS9 shows a pop up saying that ILH_TCAS was unable to load. I love this setup and Ernie's FMS works great, but no IVSI nor traffic information will display, just a blank screen. I don't think it's an ISG GNS problem but instead the retrofit put out by Meatwater. I didn't install Meatwater's panel retrofits in the DF727 as I'd like to have some 727's with no GPS. Those variants without Meatwater's retrofits all have an IVSI and display traffic info. My apologies for posting this if I'm posting this on the wrong site but can't get answers on the other forums. I've searched the sim sites and googled with no luck. If anyone has any suggestions or knowledge how to go about correcting this, I'd be very grateful. FWIW, I don't need the TCAS, I can live without it. I feel having a VSI or IVSI is a must. Thanks in advance, Steve

After doing a fs9 uninstall/reinstall yesterday, the DF 727 was reloaded and ended up getting this. The MS default airplanes look good as well as the DF 2d cockpit. The generators, battery and light switches are all on. I've looked through a couple of forums and can't find a post with a similar problem. Any suggestions? Thank you for any help, Steve

Mikethe6th, Did you get your question answered? I came here to this formum to ask the same questions you had. It's tuff knowing where to begin with so many options out there. Is it correct that vatsim doesn't work with fs9?

Thank you January, after looking high & low, I dont see a panel config file in fs9.

I had to google native resolution. I see that for my computer that 1280 x 800 is supposed to work best. I changed this setting on the flight sim option's tab but there wasn't a noticable difference. The virtual cockpit I see now does help a lot, though it's not my favorite way to play the sim. Thanks guys for taking the time to get back to me.

I just bought a new computer that runs windows 7 64 bit with a widescreen monitor. With this widescreen, my view from inside the cockpit is now more limited. The peripheral view seems the same but vertically is a problem. All the scenery seems stretched horizontaly while limiting my view vertically. I've tried full screen mode and that seems to work a little better. I was hoping there'd be another option available to take advantage of the wider screen. Thanks in advance for any help. not too winded at all godfrey, that was just what i was looking for. i chose a flight from "select a flight" while in fs2004 but couldnt understand whre i might be mixing things up a bit & making things more difficult on my computer. so ill say you answered all our (trev0138 & mine) questions. thank you for all your time! i agree with you tabs, i havent had an issue either butwas wondering what the purpose was ofbeginning a flight from a cessna -172 to a B747. thanks again for all your help, regards, steve

its a shame no one would answer this question. ive been wondering the same thing myself. was also wondering if this was needed for saved flights as well.

in the last couple of days ive begun receiving a "dont sink" warning from the gpws. im getting this warning now on every approach from around 100 - 200 feet agl, just before & during the landing flare. any suggestios on whats causing this would be a big help. also, where can i learn more about how to program assignments for the auto pilot & toga.thanks in advance for any help, steve

i have the 747 running in fs9. with the exception of the flight director, pmdg did a great job as everything else works very well. i have been using the cross hair version flight director & notice that the movements are exagerated. if i need to make a 10 degree turn, the flight director will command a 25 degree bank. when rolling to a 25 degree bank, the flight directors will sense the over controlling & then command a more realistic roll. the same can be said of the pitch commands. also, ive noticed the pitch will give correct inputs but is just very slow in giving the correct commands, needing to wait 3 -5 seconds for the flight director to "catch up". any help on how to tweak this would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance for any info.

i have the saitek yoke & throttle quadrant and am trying to program the buttons to work on the pmdg 747. i have had no problem changing key strokes to button functions on the fs2004. the problem comes when i try to apply buttons to the pmdg. functions that are applicable to pmdg but dont exist on fs2004, such as toga, auto throttle disconnect, auto pilot - on & auto pilot - off, is where i run into problems. i go into pmdg menu/general/keyboard commands & assign the key strokes. when i program these same key strokes into the saitek buttons, nothing happens. can anyone tell me what im doing wrong? thanks for any help, steve
