The last day was not pleasing at all. My hard disk failed and I've lost all my data. My new HDD is on its way, but I wonder, since I can no longer un-register my product, will it work if I use the same registration key on my new installation?

Unless you do something objectionable (share your key, etc), your registration is always active. You may run into a "max activations" error, and in that case, just submit a ticket at the link in my signature and we'll have a look at it.
