Hello, i'm trying to learn flying with VATSIM, the instructor in YouTube at 6'30" is working with fly.rocketroute.com, and i'm working in FSX-SE with PFPX, i like to know if RocketRoute is a special need for working with VATSIM, and if rocketroute is a free program

There are no requirements to use any programs with VATSIM, except a pilot client so you can log in to VATSIM. Just like you can fly (pretty much) whatever you'd like - from the default Cessna to PMDG aircraft. It's all up to you

Thank you Anders, for me PFPX is a very good flight planner with a lot of tabs and many different possibilities. Pilot Client is a connector between FSX-SE and VATSIM, you mean FSInn or Squawkbox i think, i've downloaded FSInn already, but not installed yet :Whew:

If you use FSX, I highly recommend vPilot though. Squawkbox and FSInn haven't been updated for ages, vPilot is the only client that there is active support on (from the creator), as far as I know. They all have their pros and cons of course, so you'll have to test and see which you find better to use. vPilot is the easiest one to get started with I'd say.

That's right Anders, yesterday i tryed to install FSInn,but after SetupFSCopilot was installed, then install SetupFSInn failed

 

 

Thank you for the useful information, now i have to find something about vPilot, how to find/read/install vPilot.
