Well, I'm not one for slow planes, but I wanted a challenge for my new rudder peds.

Old school manual control, VOR to VOR.  Doing it in 3 hour stretches (one fill up) with RWeather. I added the FS GLV2000 GPS for airport info, otherwise its off.

Three days now, and almost in Texas.

Flying at 7000 ft, 34 mp, 2500 rpm.   It walks around and wont let you walk away. My landings are super crap until I get some skill with the rudder peds and the fickle tail drag-er. But I have to say.. I'm digging it.

Now if someone would make a freaking Beech 18... (I have the supie, but something a little more.. developed).

Hardware: been without RP's for years now.. got the saik pro flight ones... also ordered a couple saik throttles (for twins)... but everyone is out until August 31st!

13 hours single day flight.. If I was doing this RW, I'd split the flight into two days, stopping at something interesting for the half way point. Plane is a bear to keep strait. The elevator trim flap is only on the right elevator wing.. so she pulls right all the time. trimming the ailerons and rudder help a little.. i spent about 30 minutes of each flight just trimming. As a cross country plane, it'll keep you awake, and you wont see much of what your flying over. She did well in the high mountains... plan your climb as she gets hot pretty easy.
