July 28, 200520 yr Sometimes removing the side, especially on high end, or custom-built PCs can actually raise ambient temps in the case. Airflow is taken into consideration when they're being built, and with the sides gone, flow can be stalled-out at crucial points. However, once the side is off, it's a good idea to blow the dust out of heatsinks and fans, and secure loose cables for better flow. Good luck to you!-JeremyThe Ozark DogfighterHappy Flying!
July 28, 200520 yr >So from this i would assume i can say its a scenery thats doing it.There is always the possibility that it, in fact, WAS an add-on scenery causing this. I would enable them one at a time until it did it again, delete that one, then continue through the list to see if there are more. Then leave all that is left on and try it again, push it for an hour or so. If no crashes, bingo! All that scenery being rendered does tax the CPU and GPU rather high. I'm thinking it could also be a heat issue. If the above didn't work, I would do as earlier suggested and replace the heatsink and fan on the CPU with a high-end unit by Thermaltake, Cooler-Master, etc. Maybe even look into replacing the GPU cooler (though this can be much more difficult).CPU usage will probably always be 100% while FS is in use, it always has been on my rig. I really hope you get it fixed. To paraphrase, "A day without FS is like a day without sunshine."-JeremyThe Ozark DogfighterHappy Flying!
