Hey Guys,

 

Having a bit of trouble trying to get the internal sounds of the aircraft to play through my speakers rather then my headset.

Have set up within the fsx settings my speakers from the drop down box and all seems to be okay there with the engine sounds playing through the speakers however the internal sounds such as the first officer call outs and the fasten seatbelt chime seem to play through my headset.

When I take out the USB for the headset all aircraft sounds play through my speakers however I would like to be able to keep the headset on for the microphone while flying on vatsim and have all the sounds coming from my speakers.

 

Is there a sound option setting purely for the bae 146 series in my files section somewhere as I have tried looking but only seem to be able to find the quality wings dispatcher.

Hi, the options and config file for the QW 146 are explained in the user manual, about page 303. But switching the sound device doesn't seem to be one of them.

 

Some addons play their custom sounds outside of FSX, so they would use the default Windows Sound Device. You could check your playback devices and set the default to the speakers, but this might interfere with your Vatsim client. Could be that there is no practical solution to this problem. I have this too, I'm always struggling to keep voices and beeps off my ButtKicker channel - sometimes the only solution is to turn them off completely.
