July 29, 200520 yr I noticed the posts t'other day about this wx radar, and on a whim, decided to give it a try. It's an interesting piece of work from someone with an obvious regard for FS. Couple of things I really like about it. Firstly it is easy to integrate into any panel - I put mine into F1 ATR and it looks good. Secondly it appears to have no impact at all on frame rates on my machine.Currently I have been using Reality's WX Radar, which I greatly admire but which, for me, has performance implications. Anyway, yesterday I took a short test flight from Coventry, UK [EGBE]. Just to the north there was a severe storm with thunder and lightning. The Reality gauge did not detect this weather, but it was shown clearly on the CWR gauge. I'm not for one moment saying that this makes the CWR gauge better than Reality's - it probably isn't, but it is miles cheaper. I do, though, find that little test interesting and am encouraged to persevere.Bud
