VFR SUNDAYS 3rd ANNIVERSARY

Featured Replies

Sky Blue Radio is pleased to announce that Sunday, August 23rd will mark the 3 year anniversary of VFR Sundays!

The initial concept was to just get together as friends and fly. Short and fun. No long hauls and VFR (Visual Flight Rules) only.  Everything started out at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (KBJC) in Broomfield, Colorado, headed northeast and made the first landing at Pierre Regional Airport (KPIR).  Since then over 150 weekly flights taking us halfway around the world!

On Sunday, August 23rd at 2300 zulu, VFR Sundays will be taking their anniversary flight from Kandahar Airport, Afghanistan to Bagram Airport, Afghanistan on the VATSIM network!  This will be one of the most challenging flights to date!  Come and join in on the fun as we celebrate this special occasion!

VFR Sundays have a Teamspeak3 server and crank the tunes on Sky Blue Radio throughout the flight!

Be sure to join VFR Sundays, for additional information, please visit Sky Blue Radio’s VFR SUNDAYS webpage for all the details!

VFR Sundays look forward to year #4 as we make our way across Asia!
