fsx-ms FSX-Acceleration Views

I wanted to purchase FSX Acceleration for FSX but had a question before doing so. Can I run the main outside view with scenery and HUD only ? (F-18) No panel. I need a Hud only view for my cockpit.

There may be a way of creating a "HUD only" view by modifying or creating a new minipanel.  The

 

Minipanel would be brought up by sitting in the 2D cockpit and hitting the W key.

I don't have Acceleration, so I dont have the FA-18.  You will need to look at the panel.cfg file to see

 

how/if the minipanel is used and how to modify it to show only the HUD.

 

Are you looking at Acceleration for using the "Default" FA-18 or are you looking to use

 

an addon FA-18?  If it's an addon, is it freeware or payware?

I am looking for a navy fighter simulation that is open sourced or fsx based for my cockpit project that I can program functions or adapt to my hardware.
