Don't forget one other option. Though it's neither a B-24 or B-26, if you want the perfect flyable aircraft for that period, there is the MAAM B-25 Mitchell. IMO it's the best WWII bomber addon by far. And although it's payware, your purchase is a donation to the Mid Atlantic Air Museum. Google the museum and you'll see the section on their website where you can purchase it.

OK this needn't degenerate into "How Great is Our Sim" but it did strike me that FS9 has a depth difficult to match.

Another JY creation, the F-15 Eagle, has been wonderfully packaged by Ray Parker into JASDF liveries.

One of the set belongs at Komatsu, for which I have a splendid scenery but no applicable AFCAD.

It took all of 4 minutes before I had found and installed a custom AFD file to make these birds fly.
