P3D V2.5 Fatal Error seconds after loading a flight

Hey,
So I got myself a GTX970 and I installed P3D V2.5 again. When I load, the load time seems a bit slow for just the default flight, and if/when it does load, my frames are in the high 50's for a few seconds, but then the sim will randomly freeze and give me a fatal error. I have done a clean install of it twice, no tweaks to the CFG. Anyone know what is up? With my old GTX650, I had LOW FPS, but it never crashed. 
I'm running an i7 4790K, GTX970, x16GB RAM Win 10 x64.
