October 4, 201510 yr Hi, My system: Windows 7 Ultimate SP-1 ASUS X99-WS/IPMI 32 GB RAM i7-5930K @3.5 MHz Gigabyte Geforce GTX 980 Ti Just upgraded my system for graphic and video editing. I have run FSX for years on my previous systems without any issues. On my new system I installed FSX with Acceleration, ORBX vector and various ftx system. Interesting enough is that after installing FSX I started the simulator and it worked! Then I installed Accelerator and.... when then starting FSX I have a crash at the first FSX splash. Error: GPU not meeting minimum requirements. Invalid Hardware or Driver Detected. Fault caused by G3D.DLL I see others running on similar setup and do not understand why I cannot get it to work. Any suggestion would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
October 4, 201510 yr GPU not meeting minimum requirements. You are actually using your on board basic GPU and not the GTX 980. Have you actually made sure your plugged into the 980? its an easy mistake to make ZORAN
October 4, 201510 yr Author Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes, I am absolutely sure I am plugged into the GTX... My 2 monitors are plugged into the GTX DVI ports. If not, I would not able bale to run any of my high end graphic and editing applications. Also, in the Device Manager the Graphic Processor shows GTX 980. On some boards I have seen similar issues discussed where Pete Dawson was able to limit some of the crashes with changes to FSUIP. However, his changes has not helped my issue. Thanks
October 4, 201510 yr Author Hi again, Someone suggested uninstalling Acceleration Pack. I did so and FSX loads without any problems at all. But...I need Acceleration package installed. So, how the heck do I get that accomplished_ Thanks.
