August 20, 200520 yr I decided to alias a new panel that I like to an aircraft that I like. The new panel works perfectly with the original aircraft. I have tried to alias this panel with another aircraft, but the gauges will not appear. I have tried the alias in the panel.cfg and in the aircraft.cfg, i.e. panel=XXXpanel.new, but the gauges still will not appear. Could anyone help please? Thanks!Airbus Al Kaupa Digital Storm purchased 8/17/2011; Win7x64: Asus P8P67 Deluxe; Intel i7 2600K@3,9 GHZ; nVidia GTX 560Ti; 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair Dominator; Power Corsair HX 750W; Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD; 300GB WD VelociRaptor; 1TB Seagate.
August 20, 200520 yr Are the two aircraft by the same maker? Remember that the VC is in the model. If the second aircraft does not have the correct bitmaps in its texture folder for the VC or, indeed, doesn't have a VC at all or the same one, then there's your problem. If the second aircraft does have a VC, then I recommend copying the VC sections out of its PANEL.CFG file and putting them into your new PANEL.CFG. That is, if you aren't using THAT PANEL.CFG's VC gauges with another plane!Clear as mud, eh?MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
August 20, 200520 yr Just like Mark said, there will be Vcockpit sections in the old panel.cfg that you need to copy over into the new panel.cfg file you are using. That way you will have the new 2d panel and the VC will use the old gauges. If you want to get tricky you can start replacing the names in the lines of the vcockpit sections to get the new gauges to display in the VC instead of the old ones.
