October 18, 201510 yr I am having an issue on the Phenom 100 is both FSX and Prepar3d 2.4. The Map orientation in the G1000 defaults to 'North Up'. When I try to change the orientation to "Track Up' it does not hold and it returns to North Up. Regardless of whether I try to hit 'ENT' or the centre of the FMS cursor knob. Has anyone had a similar experience and/or a fix? I am using the latest version of the aircraft that was just d/l yesterday to see if that fixed the problem but sadly it did not. Thanks for any and all help. Phil
October 28, 201510 yr Hi Phil, Inside the Gauges folder look for the file "EMB500_G1000.CAB". Inside that archive look for the file "G1000_configEMBP100.xml". Line 112 of that file shows the default map orientation which is "north up". You have a choice of 4 different orientations which you can make the default. Extract "EMB500_G1000.CAB" into a directory of the same name without the ".CAB" extension. Place this directory in the Gauges folder. Make changes to files within this folder not the CAB. Make backups before ... -J 13700KF | RTX 4090 @ 1440 | 64GB DDR5 | 2 x 1TB SSDs | 1TB M.2 NVMe
