New aircrafts detected on every SLX launch

Featured Replies

Hi Maarten,

every time i start SLX it detects new aircrafts again which are stored at a none-standard location.

The logfile says SLX is reading simobjects.cfg twice:

Reading aircraft list from C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\simobjects.cfg
Reading aircraft list from C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\simobjects.cfg
New aircraft found: d:\flusi\p3dv3 addons\mytraffic\aircraft\a10mx\aircraft.cfg
New aircraft found: d:\flusi\p3dv3 addons\mytraffic\aircraft\a300mx\aircraft.cfg
...

Hi Walter,

Sorry about this mistake, it should be fixed in the next version. For now, just rebuild the database (aircraft only).

If you do not want SLX to check for new aircraft on startup, change the corresponding setting in the selected profile.

thanks, Maarten

Hi Maarten.

the first part is fixed. SLX reads the simobjects.cfg now only once, but SLX finds new aircrafts on every launch.

Cheers, Walter

Hi Walter,

Sorry once more. The check for new aircraft did indeed not work properly when aircraft are installed on a different drive than the drive where the simulator is installed. The next version will finally fix it I hope (fingers crossed).

thanks, Maarten

Hi Maarten,

now it works like it should do, but (here comes a part of the logfile):

20151027185103 Reading aircraft list from C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\simobjects.cfg
20151027190411 No new aircraft found
20151027190411 "
Nr of airports:                24498

As you can see it needs 13 minutes to detect no new aircrafts.
Something's going wrong.

Cheers, Walter.

Hi Walter,

Everything is back to normal now hopefully. It should only take a few seconds now and with an extra bonus: the startup time is also reduced a little.

thanks again for your patience,

Maarten
