Nose wheel steering locks up. Help!

Recommended Posts

I noticed this problem with FSX + acceleration on the F/A-18 back when it came out 9 ish years ago. Now I am seeing it with the default 737 on my FSX-SE.

What happens is quite frequently when I lower the landing gear I get a warning that the gear is not down when in fact it is with both audio warning buzzer and the gear not down indication.

After I land I notice the audio warning goes out once I retract the flaps.

Now for the worse part. Once I land I have no nose wheel steering. The rudder moves but the nose wheel will not turn. I end up forcing the craft to the apron with differential thrust and braking.

I use Saitek pedals with there driver but do not use their configuration software. I have triple checked for any control or button conflicts but see none. Nothing is assigned to auto rudder or yaw damper and yaw damper is off.

At my whit's end. Any advice?

Thanks

Moe
