Finding ILS frequencies in GPS

Featured Replies

When flying over unknown territory if one clicks on GPS and selects NRST a list of nearest fields comes up with headings and distance. However, how can I find the NAV (ILS) frequency for a selected field and the runway heading?

Let's see, click center knob (PUSH CRSR) to start cursor flashing, click right outer knob to scroll down to airport of your choice, click "Enter" button, that should take you to the airport's page. Now click right inner knob until you get to the airport's frequency page. Click center knob again to start cursor flashing and use right outer knob to scroll down to ILS of your choice and click "Enter" again to set the freq to NAV 1 standby.Good luck,JimEDIT: I don't think the GPS gives exact rwy heading, or at least I've never seen it. Just use RWY identifier, autopilot doesn't care what your OBS (course) is set to on an ILS.

Jm. Many thanks I will try that and see what happens.
