September 8, 200520 yr MS, You guys have probably already thought of this but I thought I'd throw it out just in case you haven't. I fly a Lear 31 for a living, I just got home from a trip to Chicago (MDW). As you already know when you fly into busier enviroments the controllers become rapid fire (If they're busy). When you get away from busy places they slow down. Would it be possible to program FS to change the controllers pace based on the type of airspace your in? ex. Class A, B, C etc. Or maybe you could put a slider for the user to control the speed of the controllers speech based on the users skill level. Just a thought.B. Bjorkman
September 8, 200520 yr Author Interesting idea. I assume you know you can at least speed up the voices in FS2004 with EditVoicepack? It is not as flexible as what you are suggesting, but it does help at busy airports.www.editvoicepack.comTony=http://www.flightsim-bevs.com]
September 8, 200520 yr Nope, didn't know that, thanks....Ummmm, I installed it but there is no icon in my start menu like it says there is suppose to be. Any ideas?BB
September 9, 200520 yr When you update 'Editvoicepack' and before you 'save' it you will see an option to speed-up, I think they refer to it as 'accelerated' voices? Just select that and you will then get both pilot and atc to speak quicker.Dave T. .........On the lovely warm Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/ Dave Taylor
September 9, 200520 yr Author Are you not able to run it after installing?Tony=http://www.flightsim-bevs.com]
September 9, 200520 yr I've got it going now, well changed at least. It didn't put a shortcut in my start menu, I just went and dug it out of program files. We'll give her a go. Thanks for the info.B. Bjorkman
September 9, 200520 yr Author Have fun! I tried it sped up for a bit and couldn't keep up with the ATC. As you're a pilot, it may be easier for you.Tony=http://www.flightsim-bevs.com]
