Saving real weather - Freeware tool available?

Featured Replies

Hi everybody! For a while I've been lookin for a way to save the real weather downloaded from the internet in order to re-use the global weather settings at a different time. Like this, it would be possible to create a library of different real life weather "situations".Is there any tool (preferably freeware) for achieving that? Or is there an even easier solution (by just copying some files to a different directory or so)?I'm aware that there are some tools even more powerful capable of not only donwloading real time weather, but also of realistically simulating "typical" weather situations. Of course that sounds great and I would prefer that, but I think they're a little too expensive... :-(Can anyone help me? Thank you!Cheers,Holger

i don't know any tool but your idea sounds great! :)

Active Sky, payware does this.Weather downloads are stored in a file that you can load up without connecting again to the Internet.Dave T. .........On the lovely warm Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/

FSMetar uses real wrld weather and can be used online and offline, i have cable so only use the real weather option, but that is pretty good, no eason to think using it ofline will be any worse. it is free so you lose nothing if you do not like it, just needs FSUIPC to "comunicate" with FS.
