VFXCentral ... auto_udpater.exe unhandle exception

Featured Replies

I get this error when I start VFXCentral ... VFXCentral does not actually start, I see the splash screen with "Loading Awesomeness..." then just close and nothing else except this error below in the OS Event Log:

Application: auto_updater.exe
Framework Version: v4.0.30319
Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception.
Exception Info: System.Windows.Markup.XamlParseException

It list the stack if you need more info.

Hi Rob,

Thank you for the detailed explaination of the issue. I forwarded this post to our engineering team to find and fix the issue!

In the meantime, are you able to run VFXCentral or does it give this error everytime?

Regards,

Keven

Hi Keven,

Can't run it unfortunately ... I was able to run it yesterday and the FX are installed.

I'll try an uninstall from Control Panel then re-download?

Cheers, Rob.

UPDATE:

Just ran it a 4th time and it fired up this time around?  Is it possible a concurrent threading/timing issue?

Cheers, Rob.

Reinstalling it will not change anything, we'll be working on an update for that.

Your computer is too powerful Rob, give it back to NASA!!!
