Viable option to replace ChasePlane in FS2024
Pretty sure we never said that... https://parallel42.com/blogs/news/status-change-for-simfx-immersion-packs-in-msfs-2024

Chaseplane
That’s in the FSExpo update (I probably forgot to put it in the change log)

That upgrade window is not active since there is no 2024 version available yet. The free upgrade window for all existing users starts when the 2024 version becomes available. We'll probably have it up for a many months to give enough time for everyone to grab it. That will be announced when we release the 2024 version.

The free upgrade path will become available when we release the 2024 version. They will be separate products. Unknown yet when it will happen and how long the upgrade window will be.

Chaseplane
This is incorrect (that is for the P3D version of ChasePlane). We have published an article with the correct information: https://parallel42.com/blogs/wiki/chaseplane-where-are-the-files

The view behaves like it does in non-VR, meaning each camera view has a position and then the position of your head in VR is added on top of that. Be sure to read the Known Limitations before buying CP if you use VR: https://parallel42.com/blogs/wiki/chaseplane-known-limitations

What you are looking for is the Chase View (Or any views with the Chase Group)

Chaseplane
Can you open a ticket about this? We discovered an issue that prevents a proper import on some aircraft, and we have a test build fixing it.

Yes!

Yes, this is part of the known limitations described through the product page: https://parallel42.com/blogs/wiki/chaseplane-known-limitations- Chaseplane
That means you have this button assigned to something else in CP or in the sim. Make sure you remove conflicting assignments.- Chaseplane
Yes, it is (08:01) https://youtu.be/fwtSRdn2PTo?si=AH3SWHIhCgx2Br4z&t=480- Chaseplane
No written guide, any relevant info is in the tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwtSRdn2PTo) and the wiki (https://parallel42.com/blogs/wiki/tagged/chaseplane)- Chaseplane
You can reduce it but never fully eliminate it. The trick is very simple, you move the camera back and you zoom in. The default system doesn't allow you to move back but we do in CP.- Chaseplane
You can't zoom in VR- Chaseplane
You can configure it to be whatever you want.- Chaseplane
X-Plane has, and they likely are using that data through X-Plane. In MSFS we don't have access to that data, so we have to get it through official means.- Chaseplane
If you have a very large display and want the aircraft to look right, this zoom level is the correct one to have. Video games in general don't handle this wide of an FOV very well.- Chaseplane
CP comes with a set of default views (like Spot View), but you can totally configure the distance from the aircraft and zoom in to eliminate this issue.- Chaseplane
Not yet compatible with Tobii, the ball is in their court as we are awaiting official licensing.- Chaseplane
Can you define fish eye?- Chaseplane
It's available to everyone for 2020 right now. A new version for 2024 will be made available later. https://parallel42.com/blogs/news/release-42-chaseplane-for-msfs-2020-on-pc - Chaseplane
