747 400 push back systeme

Hi,

                            I get al ittle trouble with the integrate push back systeme! What is the unit of distance exactly? In other word if I program 005 is what ? meters feets? Because in this case the plane go back that it appear to me not 5 metres but may be 50 or more sometimes going on the grass!!!  Somebody knows the right parameter? I need to say its correct about degres angle position;

Full names please Francois. It's a rule the chaps have here. Also, if I remember rightly in the pushback module of the FMS, you can set the unit of distance in the top right. It defaults to feet but you can have it in metres if you prefer.

 

EDIT: Sorry, are you talking 777 or 747 V1? I was talking 777 as it was in the 777 forum but forgot the title of your post was 747-400.

                         yes it was my mistake ! It is on  747 400 . I know on 777  we can parameters on fmc but 747 ? It move back too much  it seems to me!

You can have your first and last name show up automatically on all of your post if you do this - click on your user name in upper right corner, click on My Profile, click on Edit My Profile, click on Signature, in Edit Signature enter your first and last name, click save  and your name will be on all of your posts.

Thank you but i still have the same problem. 

 

in the pushback module I choose to push 5 and L90  but as i don't know the distance unit, i can't be sure that i'm putting the right parameter. because the plane always land in the grass.

 

for example if I choose 5 and L90 the plane will move a distance 1 to 2 time it's own size. wich is more than 5 meters.

 

do you have an idea to find a solution?
