Whenever I had a "g2d.dll" error I reinstalled my video card drivers and that fixed my problem. Did you recently update your video drivers? It could have been a bad install.Jim

Jim,Nope. The only thing that happened was a resinstall of Zonealarm, an update to my antivirus and adaware files, and I tried and uninstalled a suggested ATI shimmering DirectX fix.I've also tried to re-acquaint myself with my old PSS/Ifdg merge A32x series aircraft which I haven't flwn in some time (have been busy with EWPro's 146 and PMDG 737NG). I wonder, could it be specific to that? The puzzling thing is. no DLLs have been changed (which is what I would suspect from the error given).Any other ideas?I'll try a few different aircraft and see if that causes the problem. Thanks for the reply Jim.Del.

Is it in one area only or does it happen anywhere?I had this problem with Misty Fjords. I did re-arrange my scenery list with in MSFS and it helped get rid of the problem for now (fingers crossed).XP Home SP2Asus P4P800-SE Intel 3.0GHZDDR 400 D/C 4x512MBLeadtek 6800GT 256MB (77.72)SB AudigyCH Products Yoke/Pedals USBSee you in the fence...CYYZ

I wonder, could it be specific to that?"That could be the problem as you may have incompatible textures in your aircraft folders. Have you removed these aircraft and tried running the sim again? I did a google search for g2d.dll once and I saw info related to display drivers so that's why I reinstalled my video card drivers and it worked for me (somehow they provide info to the sim1.dll). FS9 is graphics intensive and one little glitch in the registry for your video drivers could cause a CTD. In fact I received a CTD once when my video card benchmarks were at the highest I've ever seen them. DirectX diagnosis showed the drivers were properly installed. So did the Windows hardware viewer. But, after reinstalling the drivers, the CTD's were gone. Go figure!Jim

Sorted - Thanks for all your comments. Reinstalled iFDG A32x from scratch and installed latest SoftMod drivers for 9800 ... problem solved!D.
