LevelD-767

Recommended Posts

Hi recently had to uninstall Level D767. I am operating windows7 and I also have Norton security installed. When I tried to re-install Level D767 everything

installed apart from the panel. Norton picked it out as a virus in the panel. So I uninstalled and then disabled Norton and tried again but as soon as I enabled

Norton it remedied the virus in the panel and I still can not see any instruments in the aircraft cock-pit panel.

Has anyone encountered this problem.

You should never have your anti-virus program running when installing any addon.  You should exclude your antivirus program from scanning your FSX folder.  Anti-virus programs give out false positives for some FSX, FSX-SE, and P3D addons.  There do not contain viruses.  Just go to your antivirus program and exclude the folder then reinstall the product.  If you do not exclude your folder from being scanned by the anti-virus program, your anti-virus program will quarantine a required file for Level-D forever.  You should also make sure your User Access Controls are disabled as they provide security and sometimes will not allow certain files or registry items to be installed with your product.  The Level-D is a really old product and old products usually get hit with false positives.  Hope this helps.

I moved your post here in the Level-D forum as you posted in the "Help Using the Forums".  There might be other posts in this forum that will provide more information about this.
