After installing the latest PMDG 1.10.7025 versions of the 777 for Prepar3D 3.1 (both base and -300 expansion pack), I can no longer get the display units to realistically powerup from a cold and dark state.    Normally with the 'realistic' DU powerup simulation option selected via the special PMDG FMC menu, the DU's will go through a diagnostic self-test and the main ADI and backup ADI will automatically slave to the SAARU after it aligns itself.     However, with the latest update, the DUs all simply 'pop' on after the APU comes online in the midst of a cold startup and the ADI screens will be instantly fully aligned even before the backup ADI display is up with full SAARU alignment.     This behavior is correct when the PMDG FMC simulation menu DU powerup option is set to 'FAST', but incorrect when set to 'REALISTIC'.      

 

As noted before, selecting between the 'FAST' and 'REALISTIC' option does not have any effect on the DU powerup sequence after the latest update is installed, at least on my current setup.     DU powerup behavior seems to stay stuck in 'FAST' mode no matter what I try.

Sounds a lot like what happens when the sim is not run as an administrator and the setting gets reverted once the sim quits.

Thank you, Kyle.     I am certain that I'm running P3D as administrator, however.     Also, I have gone as far as double checking my PMDG777options.ini file and the 'realistic' DU powerup mode option is set correctly there.    This should also be the default setting after a normal installation.      So both my PMDG FMC options menu and my 777options.ini entry agree with one another and are both set to 'realistic' DU powerup mode.     For whatever reason though, my DUs always 'fast' powerup from cold and dark, irregardless of the FMC menu options setting.     Again, everything worked correctly before I installed the latest update.

Not seeing the issue here on my machine.

 

Did you fully uninstall before reinstalling the updated version?
